I was out at Hidden Hollow today to "tweak" our Bo-Whoop Event targets along with the target setter. Just to let everyone know I will not be competing in the B-W Trophy shooting; I've been too close to the setup of the presentation. I shot 3 boxes of shells today. Don't ask, I'm not saying what my best score was.
Just to let everyone know the Fox Collectors will have a sun/rain canopy for shooter comfort at our B-W shooting station. The current forecast is for low 60's and mixed sun and clouds from Friday through Sunday.
FYI, here are some pics of the B-W shooting station and other random shots taken today. Frank
SOMEONE WILL STAND HERE WITH THE TROPHY ON SUNDAY
Ernie (owner), Ernie's dog and Frank at the B-W station
One of three vendors tents being set up
High score on this card wins the Trophy and purse

Hopefully, everyone who owns an HE Grade or Becker Fox will bring it to use in the Bo Whoop shoot. Maybe the Fox Collectors Association table could include a sign up sheet for Super Fox research. How many Super Foxes will be available for pictures? #27,850 will be there. I put 25 rounds through the old girl yesterday, just to make sure she still works.
Right now I'm aware of three other HE's that will be at HH. I'm sure the cameras will be clicking and pens smoking. Incidentally for anyone coming from the south (MD, Hbg, etc.), north on I-81 you might consider getting off at Wilkes Barre and coming up through Dallas into Tunkhannock and then on 29 North. I'm told there is a lot of construction work on I-81 between WB and Scranton area. I put some road directions from Tunk on another thread here.
I hope all who attend have a great time!! it sure looks like a really nice place. maybe sometime you could switch up each year and come out here to give us guys west of the Mississippi a shot at it. we do have some darn good shooters out west too! after adopting three kids about five years ago my funds are running low enough that can not afford to go back east every year but they are great kids [priceless]15 14 and10 and you had better watch out for my 10 year old he is already nocking doves out of the air!!! thanks and good luck to all who attend....Tim
Tim, thanks very much for your well wishes. It sounds like you have a great family. If you can possibly swing a trip to the Vintagers at Pintail Point in MD this September you'll meet up with a bunch of us. Keep watch for more details on the "Ansley H. Fox Award" we're planning for the top Fox gunner at one of the events. First things first.... Frank
I have been hearing that this "Anna-Nicole" is some metro-hotttie.....but no one messes with my, "Sweet Lucille". HE #30587 will be there....broken ejector and all!!!!!----TOOLMAN
Hummm, what's this Tool? Cat fight in the making????
Last I hear Anna N. was going to shoot FITASC at the Masters Cup at M & M in NJ today and come directly up to the Northeast Classic at HH. Sounds like both of the girls will be there on Saturday.
Just back from the Northeast Classic. I live nearby. The rain put a bit of a damper on things today but there were more people there than I expected. Despite the rain there was shooting on the woods course all day, and a lot of interest in our Bo-Whoop. A bunch of spectators gathered round every time someone shot the B-W, studying the target lines in prep for shooting themselves tomorrow or Sunday. A dark horse or two biding his time? Right now the high B-W score is 6 of 10. Craig and Paul have the Fox table set up and I saw a nice DE walk in along with a 32" Super Fox that will shoot tomorrow. There's a lot of SxS guns and accouterments for sale by several vendors in the tents. RST is there with a big trailer load of shells. It was great to see and talk with so many of the double gun personalities on this site and others, also with double gun shooters I see on the courses.
Mike and Tool, be nice now. Let's just wait and see how the two girls do tomorrow. You never know if another gal or two will show up for the, errr... match. Frank
So far, as of Saturday, Mike Campbell is the high gun for the BW event with a 9 out of 10. He shot it in a light rain as well. I watched him shoot 3 or 4 rounds and he never shot below a 7, very impressive as the first shot was a screamer at about 50+ yards. He is definitely the man to beat.
