Fox and Sophie

Post by vaturkey »

My 20 gauge restocked Sterly ejector with Sophie, my soon to be 2 year old Lew. Doing some training today. Amazing when a gun fits you how much better you can shoot it.

Wow! You are obviously and exceptional marksman.
Shoot vintage firearms, relax, and have fun.

Based on how I shot Woodcock this year I'd say not a very exceptional shot at all. I describe my Woodcock shooting as being more miss then hit. They are fun to hunt however.

She is a wonderful bird finder and bird pointer. Will hold a point forever. She is one lousy retriever, but will find the downed bird and either point it again or pick it up and carry it for a few seconds and drop it and head out to find new birds. Haven't lost a shot bird yet, but its been interesting a time or two. She is out of East Coast Llewellins in Va. Foot hunting stock. Run's medium, but adjusts quickly based on cover thickness.
