Re: Early fox A grade
The working theory is that Ansley H. Fox doubles with serial numbers from 1 to 3000 were produced, or at least started into production during 1905 and 1906 when the A.H. Fox Gun Co. was at Wayne & Bristol Streets.

The A.H. Fox Gun Co. purchased the factory of the defunct Philadelphia Arms Co. at North 18th Street and Windrim Avenue and moved in there in late 1906 or early 1907.

It appears they restarted production at 7000 at the new factory.

Condition and originality seems to trump early serial number.
