Nat'l Gun Day Show- Louisville, KY

Post by foxgun »

Not as many tables as there were in the past but I understand the summer show is usually a little smaller. Saw 3 or 4 decent Sterlingworths, one a 20a, a couple of A grade 12's and a couple of CE grade twelves, one of the C grades priced at about $5500 and one at around $6500. All were pretty nice guns, the higher priced C was a straight grip that had had the stock bent so it gave an otherwise nice gun a bit of an odd appearance.
The other gun of note that I saw was serial no. 6500, a presentation grade with the top rib inscribed that it was made for W H Gough. I asked the dealer what he knew about the gun and he replied that he didn't know any particulars on it. I didn't ask what he wanted for it and now wish I had. Searched for that serial here on the board and saw researchers take on the gun. Wonder what it sold for at auction in Nov last year?
