Pictures of engraving on early Pre-Fox guns

Post by vaturkey »

Does any have pictures of an early B grade Fox (Philadelphia Arms) on their hard drives anywhere they can post or send me? I'm really interested in the engraving of those early guns and I've never seen any except for the drawings/adds provided in McIntoshs Book.

The C- and D-Grades are pictured on our home page. Both known E-Grades had articles in The Double Gun Journal, Volume Two, Issue 1 and Volume Thirteen, Issue 4. I also covered Philadelphia Arms Co. in Volume 3, Issue 2 of our Newsletter, and pictured all the grades from A to E including Daryl's B-Grade. Here are some pictures of another B-Grade, serial number 824 --

Tom, Daryl Corona and I both have Philadelphia Arms Company B Grades. We have scheduled a show and tell and comparison for either the Baltimore show or the Southern, I can't remember which. By the way, checkered cheeks are factory on both PAC and A.H. Fox B Grades. Bill M.

Bill, what will be the theme of you and Kevin's display at the Balto. show?
We can compare PAC guns either there or the Southern or both.
Owning a Fox is not a spectator sport.

After a quarter century or more of great themed displays at Baltimore, we are selling guns this year. I am still fresh as a daisy, but Kevin says he is plumb worn out. We've been at it so long, I can't remember the titles of many of our displays. Noreen has been at it even longer, I think. He moved 3000 miles to get a break.
