Is this wood original?

I inherited the above 12 gauge Fox Sterlingworth ejector gun and I wonder if the wood is original? The fit of the wood to the metal is excellent and other than the pad it looks original. However I have very limited experience with Fox guns.

Not original IMHO but I will leave it to those more knowledgable than I to say for sure.

IMO, the wood is definitely original, but not to the gun.

Thanks for all of the responses. I am disappointed that the wood is not original to the gun.

Dewey -- there is no mark on the right side of the receiver corresponding to the one you noticed.

Doesn't look like any "factory" Sterlingworth wood I've ever seen. You can get into some pretty strange wood on graded guns, but not on a "made for stock" gun like the Sterlingworth.

Definitely not original wood. Styling in several places is off on the stock. Forend is nothing like anything that went on any Sterlingworth. And the straight grip with short trigger guard is not right either. Checkering is not of Fox pattern.
