Fox XE Restored

Post by Augie »

Update on the Fox XE I found at the local Trap Club a few years back, posted about it in this thread,

After thinking about it awhile I turned it over to Dewey Vicknair for a complete restoration , I picked it up today and I don't know what to say, Dewey delivered a brand new Fox XE, the work is incredible. Link to Dewey's blog detailing some of the work.

I took some pictures but they do not do the gun or Dewey's work justice. I'm looking forward to shooting this fine example of A.H. Fox and Dewey Vicknair's craftsmanship.

Wow! That turned out great.

I really liked Dewey's documentation of the restoration.

XEs are my favorite grade of Fox.

Thanks for posting the pictures.

If I ever find a sub gauge XE in bad shape, seeing this and Dewey's documentation will give me the courage to know it can be brought back to life.

What a phenominal job he did!

Outstanding!

What a great job by Mr. Vicknair. If you don't mind me asking, what was the turnaround time?

Thanks everyone, Dewey did an amazing job on this gun, hope to get it out this weekend and try it out.

Spyder, it took quite a while but in Dewey's defense he got quite ill and time was lost to that, luckily he seems to have recovered and is back turning out some excellent and creative work.
