Great fun with the Finest gun in the world .

You guys are killing with the dove hunting . Our season doesn't open till the 26th

But it turns out that I will be able to pick up my new to me Custom 16ga on Thursday , instead of October , so I will be hunting with it opening day .

Those look like mainly Eurasian Collared Doves… no limit, no closed season. And good to eat…

Here's a photo from my opener near Yuma and the Mexican border… L to R - whitening, eurasian collared, and mourning doves:

Very interesting photo of the 3 dove species. Which do you consider the best eating? Jim

I've never eaten whitewing, but I've eaten Eurasians, the mournings, and the Argentinian eared dove. Can't tell the difference in the taste of any of them. Love them all. Just more meat on the Eurasian.

Hard to say which is the tastiest. I prefer SHOOTING the white wings…
