Sterlingworth Trap Forend
Sterlingworth Trap Forend
Does anyone have pictures of a correct forend for a Sterlingworth Trap? I am looking at a 1926 gun that has much nicer wood than I have seen on any other Sterlingworth and the forend is kind of cross between a beavertail and a splinter. Checkering pattern on the butt stock appears to be factory pattern, forend wood is very close match to butt, and checkering on the forend appears similar to other Sterly checkering I have seen. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Sterlingworth Trap Forend
The forend on a Sterlingworth Trap (32" Sterly) is the standard style. Here is picture of my mint 32" Sterlingworth which shows the standard factory forend. Craig

Re: Sterlingworth Trap Forend
Thanks for the reply Craig, beautiful gun. I suspect that the gun I am looking at has been restocked mostly because the wood is so much nicer than any factory Sterly that I have ever seen and the forend is shaped different than anything I have seen. I bought it anyway.
