OT----DEFCON 4-----STORM PREP

Post by TOOL MAN »

Here we go!!! Forget the snow-blower, gas for the generator or that 4 x 4 pick-up. Evidently, here's all that matters!! Figure we have enough to get us through until ice-out in early April. Digging out the crystal set as I'm sure all forms of communication will cease by noon on Tuesday. Good luck comrades! Hope each and every one of you makes it through!

PS---Nothing like a Freon-driven shot of Reddi-Wip during those last precious moments when you feel yourself heading toward the light.....

On the whole....I'd rather be in Philadelphia....

No chit, must be something in my DNA, went out to fill up the tank and get milk.

I came home with chicken, short ribs, 3 ham steaks, pork chops, 4 NY strip steaks, salmon and a turkey breast.

We might get some snow but CostCo is only 6 miles away. What The Heck was I thinking?

I am thinking of grilled salmon now though LOL!! :)

DNA loci 'nicking' kicked in here in NOVA too - just got finished gassing up and test-running "MOTHRA", my uber-powerful snow blower. Had the chance years ago to buy the other similar , gussied up version with headlights and decals, etc., but opted for the SWAT/SEAL combat model commercial grade version instead and never looked back. With 6 forward speeds and 2 reverse, I am the hero of the pipestem driveway. (The real reason I got it out is I don't want ANY impedances early in the week when I leave to pick up my latest Reynaudian purchase! K.

Linda and I have the "deck shovel", two "driveway shovels", and one broom that works on both ends. We are done for the day after moving less than 3". She actually went out last night at 10:00 to get a start on it.
