ADDIEVILLE "Warm-Up" Shoot----Sat., MAY 10th

Post by TOOL MAN »

ATTN: FOX SHOOTERS

If you find yourself in the vicinity of Mapleville, RI on Saturday, May 10th,
please join us for a double gun get-together, where you can test your skills on the sporting clays and five-stand course, at one of the premiere shooting venues in the Neast.

This will be purely an informal, shooting/social gathering, for those who love to scatter lead with their favorite SxS. For anyone making the trip out to Hidden Hollow the following weekend, this would be great practice to get in shape for Mr. Hausmann's tournament AND of course, our very own inaugural side-event, the much anticipated, "Bo-Whoop" Classic.

This is a BYOF&B deal, however Addieville does have a gas grill, if you feel the urge to barbecue. For directions and a review of this top notch
facility, visit www.addieville.com

There will be several members atending from the PGCA and hopefully we can attract an equal number of Fox-Addicts, to keep things interesting.
The course opens at 9 am and we usually end our shooting @ 3-4 PM.

We held a similar gathering in 2006 and I will tell you, it was one hell of a fun day!!! Sporting clays till @1ish, luchbreak around the trout pond, followed by some doublegun show &tell on the five-stand layout. Sure beats spending the day working off that "Honey-Do" list!!!! I'll bump this up topside again as we get closer, but mark your calendars now. Hope to meet a few more parishioners, fom the Church of Ansley H.---Regards---TOOL MAN
On the whole....I'd rather be in Philadelphia....

Tool, thanks for posting. Addieville is a wonderful venue and with Fox guys there to boot... way too cool! I can't be there myself - family commitment that weekend - but I'll be there in spirit.

Sign me one of the Ansley H. parishioners.... Frank

Addieville Shoot

My bad.....for those that require lodging, Addieville lists several local choices on thier 'Lodging" tab. Comfort Suites is the most popular and is only 15 minutes south, directly on RT 7, in Smithfield. Tel. # 401-231-6300.

If you are bringing your better half or a mistress, I would suggest driving the 30 minutes to downtown Providence. Courtyard Marriott and The Westin are both very nice and frequently offer special weekend rates.
Despite the negative press regarding its Mafia connections, Providence has a very neat little downtown area, with a large shopping mall and the ever popular River Walk, where at night, they light wood fires over a half-mile stretch on this inner city waterway......very cool. For dining, it's hard to beat The Capitol Grill and Federal Hill (a few blocks away) boasts several great Italian restaurants. All in all, it's a great place to spend a weekend.----TOOL MAN

Rebound.....off the glass.

Reminder.....MAY 10th at Addieville. Who else will be shooting a Fox? Anyone up for a little team action vs the boyzz from Meriden? Time to turn up the heat on those hinge-pins!!! There's a new wind blowin' from the corner of 18th St. and Windrim!!!! Reap the whirlwind.

SHOOTERS WANTED..........

I Plan to make it. What type of course is it and what would be a correct barrel and choked gun. Paul :)

There are varied targets and presentations. Most are not too long and favor SxS shooters. I would not worry about chokes on that course. Open to med should do you fine. Though, my best score ever there was with a Churchill choked tight and tight.
