Re: DGJ 25th Annniversary Issue
I like Frank's article a lot. However, I absolutely drool over Steve Cambria's article on Frank Stearns' AH Parker. Steve and I discussed this gun at length some years ago when it was being offered for sale. I think the fact that I was so interested in the gun made Steve pull the trigger. Congratulations on a great article about a great gun.

Re: DGJ 25th Annniversary Issue
Nice job guys I enjoyed both articles very much. Franks' interest in the mechanical aspects of vintage double comes through in his articles and Steve's personality and interests come to the surface in technicolor in his creative writing. Thanks Craig

Great articles by both Steve and Frank, and of course I'm always happy when someone has good things to say about Savage-era Foxes

Re: DGJ 25th Annniversary Issue
Steve & Frank, my hat is off to you both. Really great, well written interesting "stuff". Being lucky to have had some wonderful experiences in the "flyer" rings the Parker article came to life for me. Steve, you surely did research with a "microscope" to find all those clippings.
The article on the drawbolts will shed so much light on a Fox version that many (if not most) Fox fans even know exist. Nice explanation Frank, you provided more info on those guns than has ever been presented before that I know of! Living just outside of Utica that story came to life for me too. Great "four leaf clover" gun. I've probably seen only 7-8 drawbolt guns and never one with any type of "options"
25th anniversary huh????.......that means I was just 26 when I started my subscription to the DGJ???.... yikes.

Re: DGJ 25th Annniversary Issue
Steve & Frank,
What a great couple of well researched and presented articles. I got so engrossed in the two articles that I missed 5pm PST when I needed to log on to ebay and bid on a 1905-06 Remington Arms Co. catalogue!! Until that one showed up on ebay I didn't know such a catalogue existed. First to show the Remington Autoloading Shotgun.
I'd been recording draw-bolt Fox-Sterlingworths for about a decade when I saw my first one with ejectors at a winter Las Vegas Show in 2003. At some point in time, someone sent me pictures of serial number 161580 a Fox-Sterlingworth Ejector Brush with Fox-Kautzky SST on a drawbolt action. From what I know the surviving records only go up to 161556?!? I've also recorded 161520 in a similar configuration.

Re: DGJ 25th Annniversary Issue
Researcher, don't feel bad about missing the Remington catalog containing the early automatic listing. I just scored a Remington 10E two barrel set with factory English Walnut Monte Carlo stock. Oh, high condition. I may have paid a hundred or so more for the gun than we would have paid for the catalog.
