Barrel wall thickness

Post by Gary R »

Hello everyone I have a Philadelphia Sterlingworth, and the forcing cones have been lengthened at some time in its life.
They now measure 3 3/4" they are smooth with no tool marks and look factory done, but I don't think Fox did them in that length.
I took measurements of the barrel thickness and was wondering what other barrels measure, and what others thought.

chamber L .208 R .206
Forcing cone L .099 R .095
9" from breech L .052 R .055
9"from muzzle L .035 R .036

Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Gary

I did get my answer on the doublegun site.
And the LC Smith fact section has a new list on barrel wall thickness that answered a lot of questions for me.
Thanks
