2014 VINTAGE CUP BOOTH--SEPT. 26/27th ONLY

Post by TOOL MAN »

COMRADES,

The AHFCA will have a booth ( Fri. & Sat only) at the upcoming Vintage Cup at Dover Furnace Shooting Grounds in Dover Furnace, NY. We felt it was important for members to have a place to congregate and of course, to talk Fox guns into the wee small hours. New membership/renewal forms will be available and those super-cool, Fox gun room banners are for sale at $45/ea. As in the past, members are welcome to display any interesting Fox guns they may have and we will reserve one table for active members to sell their Fox related guns and ephemera. Rules and regulations of such will be posted in a separate thread. Remember, our booth will be manned Fri/Sat only, Sept. 26th & 27th. I copied the general event info. link posted on the doublegunshop site, below. Hope to see you there.

On the whole....I'd rather be in Philadelphia....

This is an opportunity for those in the east with the means and time to do some SxS shooting and look at some nice guns, both on tables and walking around. So, you have a vintage SxS to sell or trade, bring it and walk the vendor rows. Looking for that special Fox ..... well you might not come home with something like a straight grip CE 20 but ya never know. And meeting up with other Foxers can pay off in a week or month or year after you get home, when a friend you made decides to move a good one and gives you a heads up. That's happened to me more than once. Hey, unless you're scheduled to work that weekend at NORAD or have a heavy family commitment, I think you'll be hard pressed to find a more enjoyable place to be.

Are things really this interesting at the Vintagers that no one has any comments or news?

Shooting was fun, targets great, crowd light, vendors not too happy, weather beautiful. Need I add more?
