Recipes for 2 1/2" 12g shells needed!
OK, I'm in the process of finding recipes for 12g 2 1/2" shells. I'm using PB powder with 7/8 and 3/4 oz of shot. Any recipes?

Several recipes for 2 1/2" with PB powder in BPI advantages manual but they are all roll crimped. 7/8 and 1 oz loads. I can post them if you want to roll crimp.

If you plan to roll crimp all you need to do is trim your 2 3/4 inch hulls to 2 5/8 inches which is the old American short shell standard and use your published data for the 2 3/4 inch shell. A roll crimped 2 5/8 inch shell has the same internal volume as a 2 3/4 inch folded crimp. Velocity may go up a bit and chamber pressure may drop and bit neither of which are bad things.

I will not be roll crimping. My Cheddite hulls were not roll crimped. Spolar will be making me a short kit for my Gold to process these hulls.

For my 2 1/2" Cheddite 7/8 oz loads I use Clays, a B & P wad from Precision Reloading, either a Cheddite or Fiocchi primer. Works well rolled or folded.

I have PLENTY of Clays too. I just want to use the PB. Pressures look nice for these old guns.
