Upcoming SxS Sporting Clays Shoot....

There will be an upcoming Ruffed Grouse Society SXS Sporting Clays shoot at my home club coming up on April 5th. Vernon National Shooting Preserve is in Upstate NY, about a 1/2 hr from Syracuse,NY . Easy access from NYS Thruway. First class facility. Just minutes from the Turning Stone Casino. Main sponsor will be RST Shotshells.

Once again, FOX RULES!!!!! Team Fox spanked the competition today. Jim Kline, Tom Wyraz and yours truly ground 'em up!! In the Classic Main Event, once again yours truly won HOA and Ross Steinhauer was 3rd (both with Fox guns) and this guy was also HOA in the 20/28 small bore event (also with a 20g Fox)!! It was a great day Tater!! Ron set a very nice course for us, even with sustained 20 MPH winds and snow squalls!! It's all good and we hope to do it all over again at Rock Mountain Sporting Clays on May 4 for the "NEPA RGS Habitat Shoot".

It was good seeing Mike, Jim and Tom. It was a very cold windy, wet and snowy day but we had a ball. Perfect duck hunting weather!! I am not sure if spring will ever arrive in upstate NY.
Looking for warmer weather at the Southern. Here is a picture of my friends from home.
