Phox Pheasant Phun

Post by 3birddogs »

I rarely shoot a 12 ga for anything, but this early pin gun with "The Sterlingworth Co." markings (philly) is a nice light upland 12. It is a standard field grade with 28' barrels choked cyl/mod--a standard offering. It has 4 wt barrels. I have never weighed it, but would estimate at 7 lbs. Cant believe I missed the first bird of the day, but I wiffed with both barrels. Walking in over point, a bird flushed 75 yds out but the dogs never budged. Then a bird got up between the two and thats the one I missed. I settled down and took these 2 birds with the right barrel.
