I've been shooting like crap all season so it was nice to "bat a thousand" today.
Gus did a great job pinning these ladies down in a swamp with sparse cover. How he kept them from running was truly impressive. He had each pinned against a fallen log.
I wish these were wild birds!!! My club stocks pheasants on Saturdays. I like to go out Tuesday or Wednesday and try to work for the birds that get pushed were the old timers won't go lol. Makes it feel more sporting.
I'd really like to get my fox out on some ducks but none of my fresh water spots are producing at the moment. All the birds are in the salt marshes! I'm not too keen on bringing my sterly out in the salt.
