Callahan Letter Question

Post by CJB964 »

All -

looking for a little guidance on Callahan letters. I'm familiar with the process - but wanted some clarification.

If a gun was repaired, reworked, modified, etc at the factory, would/could a callahan letter include this, or, do the letters only include original build specs?

Thanks!

Only original. No repair records remain.

I have never seen a record of a repair, however on rare occasion, I have seen record of rework/alteration at the factory. The few occasions I speak of were higher grade guns that were returned to the factory as unsold or sometimes "office samples".
