I'd be careful. It isn't marked "The finest Chamber Pot Vase ever made" so it may not be genuine.

Why would it say A.H. Fox Ltd. for an American company of that era?

A long way from toy guns Dave!! Only $1295.00?? A once-in-a lifetime chance to own the "Finest P*SS Pot in the World!!" Wonder how much a DNA test would run to see if it was actually used by our fearless leader....LOL. I'm sure someone already Googled the furniture shop. Were they located in Philly??

PS----It certainly would have made for a dynamite Parker trade-in promo. Bring us your "hinge-pinned contraption" get $10 off of your new Fox and the FREE promotional china. No doubt, Connor hard at work!!
On the whole....I'd rather be in Philadelphia....

I own a little company. I can't imagine putting its name on a chamber pot. I might like to put my biggest rival's name on several though and spread them through the territory. Perhaps Parker Brothers had them made.

It may have been Ansley Fox's personal chamber pot. To semi-quote a rascal in another thread in another BBS "No one can prove that Ansley H. Fox never owned that chamber pot." :D

On a serious note; was there ever a time when A.H. Fox Gun Co. was DBA as A.H. Fox LTD? I don't recall ever having seen that.
If it truly was genuine A.H. Fox Chamber pot, there would have been at least a smattering of lesser makers names (Parker, LC Smith, Lefever, Ithaca) glazed on the inside :D

Could be, Brian. We missed adding a Hunter Arms vase to our collections this week. Nice high condition example for $3051.00.
