Shoesrting,

I saw on the "Disassembly" thread that your grandfather recently passed and wanted to offer my condolences.

As to insuring, don't go through your homeowners. The cost is usually quite high compared to a dedicated firearms policy such as http://www.historicfirearms.com/ If you have a quality gun safe, the cost of one of these policies is very reasonable. You may need a written appraisal for your Fox and have it scheduled on that policy as I recall Eastern requires scheduling on any gun over $10,000 in value. If under, it would be covered on the blanket policy. Again, congratulations.

Cheers

I'm with you shoestring, I was given an Ithaca model 37 20ga by my uncle. He carried it chasing pheasants in Kansas until his eyes stopped him from shooting! There isn't a thing in the world that could pry that gun from my hands lol.

Enjoy your beautiful *new* friend!
