Bo-Whoop & WC Letterman Cup Winners - UPDATED with PICS

Post by Silvers »

This announces the 2013 winners for the (two) shooting competitions sponsored by the AHFCA at the Northeast Side by Side. More pics will be posted as we all get caught up over the next few days. Hopefully we'll get some additional comments from Fox folks who were there at the shooting stations and at our AHFCA booth in the tent. The Northeast SxS continues tomorrow with Hidden Hollow's Main Event.

Bo-Whoop Long Range Shoot
Our 2103 Bo-Whoop Champion is J D Shank of PA with a perfect score of 10 ex 10. J D was shooting a 12 gauge AE Fox

Bo-Whoop Runner Up is Tom Wyraz of NY with an outstanding score of 9 ex 10. Tom shot his 12 gauge X/HE Super-Fox

Third place Winner with 8 ex 10 is Jim Kline of NY, also fielding a 12 gauge Super-Fox. Walt Snyder, Craig Larter and Mike Campbell also had scores of 8 ex 10, and Jim won the 4 way tie breaker by public draw since Walt was not available for a shootoff.

Lady Champion is Jane Street of PA with 6 ex 10, using a 12 gauge Winchester Model 23

For 2013 we had a total of 145 competitors, comparing with 97 last year = a 49% increase.

Overall we had another sterling day weather-wise. The AHFCA extends sincere "thank you'" to all who competed in our two shooting events.

Thanks to Silvers & the AHFCA members/BODs who made this year's Bo-Whoop another fun event!!! This year's presentation was different & fun. The entire Hausmann's venue is really tough to beat for fun and frolic......

Frank, can you tell us the tally of the total number of "for score" attempts on the Bo Whoop???.......curious.

Frank,

Many sincere thanks to you, Steve Cambria (aka Toolman) and Jim Malone for all the work and planning you did and that very nice lady that helped with the scoring.

And congratulations to the winners.

It was a great event that was enjoyed by many shooters and onlookers.

Weather was pretty nice too.

Thanks everyone for your comments. I'd like to add here that significant help was provided at the shooting station by new member Pierre (Dalgo). Steve (Toolman) was our shooting master, and Becky who is a NSCA Certified referee added much to the competitions along with her daughter Alayna. Becky has committed to help us again at next year's competitions. Several other members came by to offer help and I thank them for their offers but with 3 staffers we were "OK" most of the time except when things got pretty hectic as Saturday wore down.

I am only speaking here of the B-W and WCL shooting stations. From having been in the tent a few times I know that other members like Jolly Bill and Scott J helped out a lot at the booth. I wasn't involved at all at the booth/display which was led by Craig and Paul.
