las vegas show

Post by davemsmith »

Friday I spoke with a fella displaying at the Riviera show and he told me to post info about my 20 g fox gun for help with identification. Both sides of reciever have one line edge engraving, with pins having 3 small engraving marks with the name "Ansley H. Fox" above the forward pin. The bottom of the gun has engraving like sun burst around screws and on the trigger guard. The same pattern is also on the reciever / barrel area. The gun has a rounded pistol grip with checkering as well as a checkered fore end piece. The left barrel is marked" A.H. Fox Gun Co. Phila PA." The right barrel is marked "Krupp Fluid Steel Made By". The matted rib has two ivory balls The extension from barrel to reciever is line engraved. The barrels are 26 inches long, length of pull is 14 1/8 inche over a "Justin anti flinch" recoil pad. The serial number is 200222. The gun came to me from a member of a Massachucetts family who had the gun here in Phoenix Az.
Thank you in advance for any information. I can also be reached at dsmith481@cox.net

Sounds like an early style A-Grade.

The highest serial number 20-gauge I've recorded with the early style engraving is 200240. The next gun I've recorded is 200380 and it has the William Gough style engraving.
