Buddy of mine found this at an auction and sent it to me:

It looks good on the shelves of the Museum of the Completely Unrelated, Mostly Forgotten, and Largely Useless

the reels are an interesting side line, not a lot of value, but still fun to have one on a shelf

That's cool. Wouldn't it be neat to catch some fish on a Fox reel and bag some birds with a Fox gun in the same day?

Fin,

Nice Philly Fox. I'm sure your buddy holds you in highest esteem.

Quite possibly, we all may have such a museum. I have a minty-looking L. C. Smith typewriter that I dragged all the way back east from Washburn, North Dakota. Although the ribbon is pretty dried up, it still works like a champ.

Stan,

Now ... would one more properly call that a mixed bag or a mixed creel?

Toss in a deer with a slug or buckshot and you would have a Fox McNab

Now, if I drove there in a Fox auto with a Fox toy gun in the back seat, how many more bases would I have to cover?

A flare gun, Now that is one you don't see often, along with the Fox toy gun in great condition.

And I wonder how many if any Fox cars remain

You'd also have to pull a self-lighting cigarette out of the pack ... best done while the fairer sex is watching you exiting the vehicle.

Stan,

I'm sure your wife would class up the place, but I imagine neither you nor my wife would be happy about that!
