Will a stock off a Savage Fox Model B fit a Sterlingworth? They look very similar.
If anyone has a stock they would be willing to part with for a 16/20 ga or knows a place to get one made a 'reasonable' cost let me know. I have a Sterlingworth that was my grandfathers that has a cracked wrist, the gun is not in that good a shape, but I'd love to shoot her and I just cannot justify spending $2k on a stock right now for a gun that has more sentimental than monetary value.

Re: Stock Question
A broken stock, and even more so a cracked one, can often be repaired and made shootable. In fact, if the value is mostly sentimental, that would be my first consideration.
Beware the man with one gun...he likely will bore you to death in others ways, too.

Re: Stock Question
Doubt it could be made to fit; certainly not without a lot of reworking. Mike's right about repairing it; I've seen some amazing things done with broken stocks.

Re: Stock Question
thanks for the help everyone..... I had the stock looked at and have gotten a few quotes, one guy said it was un-repairable and the other 2 wanted in the neighborhood of $400-$500 to fix with no guarantee it would hold. Thought I could find someone that was restocking and grab their original, but its turning out to be more more difficult than I thought!
