PRESENTING your FOX vs. PARKER CHALLENGE CUP

Post by TOOL MAN »

Feast your eyes on the prize comrades!!!

" A tradition like no other..." will be unveiled for the first time at this year's Vintage Cup. The inaugural Fox vs. Parker Challenge will take place over Fri/Sat of next weekend. The majestic FPC Cup, pictured below, will be awarded to the victors, who will take posession and proudly display it in a place of honor until the following year's contest. A silver name plate will be added each year, engraved with the winning team and their cumulative score. Additionally, when the match is officially decided, a bottle of French champagne will be struck with a saber and the contents poured into the cup for the triumphant team to savor. Ahhhh, the photo opp's. should be endless!!

We sincerely hope that 50 or even 100 years from now, future generations of Fox & Parker shooters will still be fervently competing for this prize and will look upon the FPC Cup, with the reverence it so justly deserves!!

Wow Mr. Roll, that is one classy trophy! Good job. OK so I've never been to Addieville and was planning to shoot my gal "PB" choked pretty heavy in both barrels. Actually I warmed her up yesterday at my local club. I read that some of of the Parkaah boys will be shooting way open skeet type chokes. I don't know if that's for poke & hope shooting  or if the sporting course there set for really close targets? This is confusing, a friend I saw yesterday told me it's more like M&M in NJ where there are no cupcake presentations. Any comments from our members who've been there at Addieville? Thanks for any inputs.

MARSE SILVERS,

Wish I had an easy answer for you. Like I posted in an earlier thread, Jack and his crew are very experienced target setters as Addieville is the home to several major registered tournaments, every year. If I had to guess, I don't think the course will be inordinately long but will present many challenging angles and as always, some very deceptive, terrain-teasing targets. Sounds like you are dialed-in with "PB"....forget about those pigeon-ring chokes and just have a ball making diesel smoke!!!-------ROLL

Mr. Roll, thanks for the reply. Hey you're tuned in with some of the Parkaah leadership so maybe you can talk with your contact there about a friendly Calcutta of sorts? Any Fox & Parker MEMBERS OF CURRENT RECORD who are interested would shoot together in a squad - and furthermore said shooters would make it interesting with some scratch on the line? Top dog takes the Calcutta purse. Marse S
