Strong Prices for Foxes at RIA
OK I don't have a life and the weather was just awful today in Western NY (snow in the forecast!!) So I sat next to the computer and watched the RIA gun auction. Lot 3594 XE 20ga $20700., Lot 3595 CE 12ga 32"bbls early style $5564. 3596 Trap 12ga 32" with all the extras $11500. Didn't write the others down.
Guess I will never own an 8ga, the Parker NH 8ga with 42" bbls sold for $25875.
Strong prices in my opinion.

Everything went strong up there today...... except two cannons. Did you notice the Colt prices? Unbelievable.

I believe Fox prices have equalized with Parkers grade for grade. Small bore graded Foxes seem to be the gold standard, much like Parker small bore guns.
Small bore Fox Sterlys in original condition and Parkers/Elsies with damascus barrels seem to be a good value. 12 ga Fox C's and Parker D's also seem like a lot of gun for the money.

Over on the PGCA web site they are discussing how low the prices were -- http://www.parkerguns.org/forums/showthread.php?t=6937
Who is telling the truth here?!?
Guess I should have bought that Trap Gun when it down at the Bass Pro-Shop in Denver. They were only asking $9899.99!! As I recall from following the internet ads, they then moved it to a new Bass Pro-Shop that opened down in Texas.

The 20ga XE sold at Julia's in 2008 for $14950. It sold Sunday for $20700. for return of 38% over 4 years or an average annual return of 7.7%. I take that return any day. The walls on that gun measured .019 and .020.
Scott: I hope the Trap makes an appearance at the Hausmann event. Craig

I have no idea who bought it at Rock Island, but for his sake, I sure hope those measurements are incorrect. That would sting for sure!!
