Hi folks,
I just signed on to this forum because I just acquired a Philadelphia Arms gun. It is an A grade with 30 inch barrels. Has "FOX" in small block letters on the action and Philadelphia Arms on the rib, Krupp steel. Serial number is 1841.Condition is not great. A reblue is fading, stock was sanded way too much during a refinish and some wood is chipped around the action. Some wood has been removed on the underside of the stock in front of the trigger guard. Looks like a router bit was used. Perhaps a repair was started, then abandoned. Butt plate and grip cap intact. Locks up tight. Bores bright. Looks like it was used regularly, but not pampered or lovingly cared for. I can't try to post any photos until I pick it up (California 10 day wait). I have scoured the net and probably seen most of the info available. However, any comments and new info is welcome.

Re: Philly Gun
While I have had reports of Philadelphia Arms Co. FOX doubles with serial numbers into the 2xxx range, the highest serial number I've actually recorded is 1845. Look foreward to seeing pictures of your find.

I did check the link to Philadelphia Arms, thanks
I forgot to list one critical condition item - some surface pitting on the top of the right barrel and right part of the action, where the tube and action meet. Almost stopped me from buying it, but after some research I rationalized the purchase by deciding I would probably never see another one.

Re: Philly Gun
would still love to see pictures of this gun if you get the chance. The PAC guns don't come along all to often and most are A grades.
Cheers!
