I patterned my 12 ga. Skeet and Upland today and was surprised by the results.
3 shots from each barrel at 30 yards off-hand. Obviously not the most scientific but a more real world demonstration of where it hits when I shoot.
The spread was nice and open with fairly even distribution. No big holes or sparse patches. What did surprise me was that it seemed to be shooting around 80% high. The most dense area being 6-8" above point of aim.
Has anyone else experienced this?
The left to right was dead on with both barrels which is nice considering this fox had some not so pretty barrel work done at some point.

I prefer for my guns to shoot a little high. Bobby

I shoot mostly trap so I do too however I wasn't expecting the pattern to be so high on a field gun!
I've been learning skeet and doing really well with the old double so Im not complaining!

If I remember correctly my Skt & Upland also shoots high, which I prefer, but I've never patterned it on paper.
