Fox DE live bird gun

Post by cook-winston »

I have a DE Fox serial # 17090 It has 2 sets of barrels 30in and 28in it is in exc. condition has a leather covered pad It was bought years ago from an estate. The widow said it was originally Mr. Ansley Fox personal gun OK I know that sounds crazy ,I would just like to know how unusual a live bird gun is (no safety) and if I can find out more about the gun This is my first post So Thankyou

One of 2 ways.

You can e-mail them to me and I'll post for you: frankgpuryear@gmail.com

or, you can open a photobucket account (www.photobucket.com), upload the pictures, click IMG code below the uploaded picture, right click on blue highlighted code, select "copy", come back to this site to your new post, right click and select "paste".

I would STRONGLY suggest you join the AHFCA and get a copy of the card for 17090 or a Callahan letter. The widow's story may just be correct. Oh yea you may have the holy grail of Fox collecting and vintage American double guns. Looks like the gun is in great shape, more pictures please!!!
