Copyright A. Fox 1908 Phila.
Has anybody ever seen any reference to "our" Ansley Fox tied to a publishing company in Philadelphia ??? I have not. A friend just showed me an attic find of a rather nice (non-sporting) print with " Copyright 1908 by A. Fox Phila. " printed in the lower right corner. The timing is right. Thanks-

Tomasz, for information - anyone (individual, company) can copyright an original "work" whether a print, text, etc. The copyright owner doesn't have to be a publishing company. Frank

Yeah, I guess you do. Just when I hit the "submit" button the picture popped up. That's cool.

How many people with the surname Fox and a first initial of A. were in the Philadelphia city directory in 1908?

Good question David...I was wondering the same thing, cant imagine that there were a whole slew. I never tried to search city directories online....need to give it a try cuz I'm not going to Philly anytime soon.

1911, No. 24 Campfire catalogue was printed by Clymer-Jones Lithography, Philadelphia.
1912, No. 25 Campfire catalogue was printed by John T. Palmer Company, Philadelphia.

Ed,
That crossed my mind too....if ol'Ansley was somehow involved in printing I would have suspected he would have been doing his own company's catalogs.
