This is not terribly important, but something I've been wondering about. I have a Sterlingworth cir. 1929 by the sn, and it its trigger guard tang is rounded at the end where it terminates in the pistol grip. My 1914 SW is pointed at the end which looks much nicer to me. I looked through most of the pictures on this site and in McIntosh's book and found no examples or info on whether this was a change, or I have something that has been messed with.
Anyone know about SW trigger guard style changes?
Thanks,
jmc

July 1928 looks like the transition in my accumulation of Fox guns. My 16-gauge Sterlingworth Ejector Field shipped 9 July 1928 has the pointed trigger guard strap. My Super-Fox shipped 31 July 1928 and a 12-gauge Sterlingworth Standard shipped 20 July 1928 are rounded. Every half- or full pistol grip gun I have earlier is pointed and all later are rounded.
