CE Fox

Post by Jason G. Harrison »

It was me that made the post about this CE Fox on the DoubleGun Site. I gave it another inspection and indeed the stock had been repaired. The wood to metal fit wasn't very tight either and thus I told the owner that I think further problems were ahead of the gun if it were shot. I told him I was interested in it but that the price as too high due to the amount of work needed to bring the gun into sound working order.

He declined to lower the price any further. He then called the guy 2nd on the list for Doubles and this guy bought it without even looking it over, oh yea, for a higher price which was $3200.00

So that CE Fox now resides with another collector. I am not really a Fox Collector as I primarily collect L.C. Smiths, but I love any American made Double and thus am a Fox fan as well. Thought it would make note the gun did indeed sell and that it sold for $3200.
