Measurements to have Barrels Fitted

What measurements are needed to see if a set of barrels will fit as receiver?

Width or frame at balls.Same thing on barrels where they meet frame.If used barrels sometimes they will come very close to fittng but most of the time takes fitting by a skilled gunsmith. Bobby
