Re: Ohio Gun Collectors Show May 7-8, 2011
Well it was an unbelievable gathering of Fox guns at the Ohio Show. We had a constant stream of visitors and much interest.
Tom Wyraz, Dana Tauber , Craig Larter and Anne Larter set up and manned the display Saturday and Sunday. Naturally I think we had the best display of guns. The J and M trap guns won a silver metal for the best individual guns of the show. Here are a few pictures, more detailed pictures to follow in the next Newsletter. Enjoy!
One of our members had a beautiful 16ga S&UGG follow him home. One of the dealers had a nice display of Foxes, S&UGG's and SP/E's in the box and mint plus a very high condition CE two barrel set (none for sale). A few other random sterly's and a couple of 12ga CE's for sale, nothing that stimulated me to buy Anne a nice Fox for Mothers Day!!
L and M trap, mint C's 20ga and 16ga

FE 20ga, FE 12ga, Beckers personal gun, DE 12ga and XE 16ga mint

All I can say is WOW!!! Thanks to all for bringing your incredible guns, and thanks to Craig for organizing and sharing this collage. I know how much time and effort both can take, and they're often not recognized by many. I think Ansley is smiling from afar, make that from ear to ear. Frank

........Craig, thanks for getting some pix up, I just finally got thru unpacking. The weekend went perfectly and there were alot of smiles, laughs and great exchange of info. The OGCA directors went out of their way to make us first-time displayers feel welcome and appreciated. Those folks know how to run a first class event. The awards banquet was top-shelf in venue, entertainment, food & drink. What a fun night!
It was nice to visit with DSizemore and his lovely wife Missy at the display.....nice gun Unc!
The display was quite a sight!..........there were an incredible selection of RARE & high condition guns in that 32 feet of table space. The new AHFCA table covers looked fantastic. My only regret is that the time flew by so quickly between un-packing and packing it all up again.

Here's a couple of ear to ear smiles!!

Re: Ohio Gun Collectors Show May 7-8, 2011
Dave: Wish you where there!!! The two FE's were off the charts, the double gold dogs and the reserved beauty of those two guns were more impressive to me than the Parker Invincibles!! The best two shotguns I ever had an opportunity to see. Unbelievable!!! The Becker gun is so beautiful it is hard to describe the understated elegance of that gun, a true master piece!! A once in a life time opportunity to see the best that came out of the Fox Gun Company. Even though most of us will never be able to own such fantastic guns the opportunity to see such great guns was a special event in my collecting life. I have had the opportunity to handle some great American guns but that display was the best since the Pan Am Exhibit. I would like to thank Tom for having the vision to do the exhibit and Dana and Tom for displaying the finest examples of Fox guns in existence.

.......let's just say it "jelled nicely". Fantastic condition/engraved Supers Craig, not to mention your none-finer DE! We just needed a couple of free hours for a cigar.
Next stop....Hausmann's Hidden Hollow to make some noise. Very cigar friendly, heck, just plain friendly !

You guys sure put on one heck of a display. Likely the nicest bunch of Fox's assembled in one place for the public to see in many, many years. Sure wish I was there to see it all.
Thanks to you for the tremendous effort it took to get the guns there, watch them, pack them up and getting back home safely. No small task. No small task either to acquire some of the "Finest Guns In The World". Surely, those are some of the Finest.
