FRANK J. BARTHMAIER "DIRECTOR'S SPECIAL"

Post by George Lander »

The Frank J. Barthmaier "Director's Special" SN 121 is going to auction on March 15th, at James Julia and is in the printed catalogue and on-line as well. Estimate $20,000-$30,000.
The description states that it was very similar to the Eisenlor gun which they sold in 2007.

Best Regards, George

Well...... Yeah..... They are similar in that they are both Ansley H. Fox 12-gauge doubles. They were both made for company officers.

No. 121 was lot #1130 on page 96 of the catalogue. Maybe it was bad positioning, next item up after the Roosevelt gun. Or, maybe it was the $35000 to $55000 estimate.
