I'm thinking of using my Elsie 12 GA for some turkey this Spring and I was wondering what particular loads you guys use in you old doubles. I'm not putting anything in bigger than 2 3/4" in there but from looking at what the local Cabela's has in stock, my options seem limited. What brand shells do you guys use for turkey?
Thanks,
-Chris

Re: Turkey loads
I use RST copper plated 6's in my double of choice for that day. Chokes are full/x full and full/mod. in 2 1/2" in my damascus guns, and 2 3/4" in the rest. Gobble Gobble!!! It will open here in Kansas I think in April. Lee.

Re: Turkey loads
Think RST also make a pigeon load that has 1 1/4 oz of hard shot, but loaded light. That might also be a good choice.

1 1/4 oz. Super X papers from the 50's. If I had to buy some new stuff, I'd go with the RST. Is that LC a Long Range model?
