Here they come! off topic
Here is a nice picture of my DeeDee watching ducks over the blind today. Vintage guns and Labs, life is sweet.

Re: Here they come! off topic
Thanks for the compliments. DeeDee is a AKC Master hunter, Vanderbilt's Simply Devine. She is 7 and at the top of her game. I do all my own training and run my dogs in AKC Hunt Tests. If only bird dogs lived longer!
Her sister is Vanderbilt's Hy Test aka Tess who I retired this year. Tess has been the best my best dog and qualified for the AKC National Master. Both dogs are from Candlewood Kennels and related to Candlewood's Super Tanker and Candlewood's Tanks A Lot, aka Lottie, one of the all time best dogs in the field trial.
As Gene Hill wrote, I want to the same place bird dogs go when they die. If I could not hunt with dogs I think I would stop hunting. They love the sport more than us and it is one of life's great pleasures to hunt with a bird dog.

Thanks, Craig. My black Lab, Mandy (Ornbauns Mandolin String) has not been entered in any field trials or hunt tests, but she is a wonderful waterfowl retriever and pheasant hunter. I would not go hunting without her. She went with me last year to Beaver Dam and to the Arkansas timber.

Goodbye Mandy, once in a life time hunting dog. I miss you every day.
