Costs to Attend the Vintage Cup

Post by Researcher »

First off, 6033 miles on my car.

Motels -------------- $977.92

Gas ----------------- $598.37

Food & Misc. ------ $569.83

Oil change ---------- $ 36.81

Shooting & shells -- $ 92.00

Total ---------------$2274.93

This doesn't include shooting glasses, flats of ammo, shotguns, and books purchased while there. Memories of time spent with good friends, priceless.

How were you able to get by with spending just $92 for shells and shooting?

Regular grade gas is $2.469 per gl here, so doing the math you purchased 242.35 glns = 24.89 MPG, not a bad average, all based on gas price here in MS.

Care to elaborate on what shotguns followed you home?

Nope!! No gas that cheap across the northern half of the country. It is over $3 here in Washington, a bit cheaper in Idaho. The total was 216.275 gallons for 27.896 mpg. The gas milage on the Subaru really goes down doing 75 mph across South Dakota and Montana!!

A pretty high condition Colt 1883. Never owned a Colt before.

1883 Colt. Hmmmm. If it's the one I'm thinking it is you bought a mighty nice looking piece.

Mike

PS: Just filled up my POS S10 Chevy. Gas is down to $2.429 tonight.
