One option for those of you far away from the big SxS venues is to shop the airlines for cheap tickets well in advance of the event. Bring a two gun hard case with you, without or without trading stock, plus some coin for those "cash money" deals. You rent a car, get in on the Fox or venue recommended hotel rate, and you're in heaven when you see all those double guns looking for new owners. I talk with many gents every year while at the VC and other places; and invariably most comment how they've been hitting their local gun shows and shops for many years, and have seen more SxS guns in one hour than in decades of searching at home. While at the VC this year I lost track of all the Foxes I saw on tables or being carried around by chaps wanting to sell them. Same with Parkers, Smiths, etc. Silvers

I have flown to Winter Vegas from Baltimore for less than two hundred dollars round trip and stayed in the Riviera for $39 until the weekend when it went to $59. I also used to take a 7:00 AM flight to Louisville for about a hundred bucks round trip and fly back the same day, no hotel, no car rental. I hope Southwest doesn't get greedy after the merge.

wish I could have made it but guarantee round trip tickets from where I am would have been a bit pricey... work stinks but it buys me a Fox gun from time to time, so I can not complain too much... at least I have one...
Cheers!

How about that 11-48 in the second picture? Looks like a Steve Barnett tag.

You're right Eightbore, it is a Barnett tag. That gun caught my eye too as Remington autos have always worked well for me. I spent some time studying it as it surely was a nice piece (for an auto).
This was my first Vintager's Cup and it is really worth the trip if you're into fine guns. I was overwhelmed the first day by the number of quality guns. It was like a big local show with NO junk guns! It was also great to meet and talk with some of the folks from the forum. Learned a bit more about Foxes and saw some nice ones. I was just sorry I missed the rifle competition on Thursday but it's something to look forward to next year! If anyone is considering the trip out, do it. You won't be sorry.

Looks like a good time, lots to see and learn.
I'm ignorant of such things...anyone know when and where about the 2011 Vintagers?
