The auction was in SE PA and was well attended by many Fox personalities and collectors from far and wide. About 150 folks registered to bid. I saw vehicle license plates from as far north as Maine, and south to NC. The Foxes seemed to be the main draw, but most people agreed the hammer prices on almost everything were surprisingly high. There was NO buyers premium..... pay by cash or check and out the door.

30" Sterlingworth Company Pin gun in VG condition, one issue with the f/e latch = $1550
30" 12 ga AE 2nd gen two barrel setup, but the 28" set had a different s/n = $2800.
LOM case from the above = $140.00
Very nice early BE, 30", heavy barrels, excellent "oil on water" color case = $4400.
Hybrid 2nd gen A grade frame with Sterlingworth barrels and forend, serial nunber on the SW parts restamped = $1300.
Early CE with first gen ejectors, buttstock possibly refinished? = $4900.

The FE is probably 1911 gun and it has a replacement BT forend, and the original buttstock has a splice in it to raise the comb, old squashed recoil pad. Mechanics and metalwork were all fine. Miller single trigger. The auction was near Reading PA, old time live bird country, and the woodwork was probably modified for a pigeon or trap shooter. I was fortunate to get this gun but I want to keep the price confidential. The AHFCA does not have a card on this gun; see the card check of a few days ago in the Members Forum. I'll be sending off for a JC letter and will post more pics of the gun in the Members Forum when I get caught up in a few days. Silvers

Hi Frank,

Congratulations, it was great seeing you again and meeting more of the Fox guys at the secrete auction. LOL… I’m glad someone I know got the FE vs. the Parker Boys from N.C. in the front row, or all the local gun dealers that were there. As I said it was the first FE I have ever seen in person, and got to handle. I did like the BE that was a real pretty gun, and STW pin gun. Judging by the crowd I didn’t think there would be any bargains, and I had to go to make it to a final exam but would have loved to stay.

Best Regards

Well, Tom, remember a little Parker sold at a "country auction" for $116,000 not long ago. They are out there.

Way to go Frank! I'm glad one of the "good guys" got it. From the pictures it looks very nice, even the replaced BTFE. Thanks for the Fox catalogue. I'm enjoying reading it.
Best Regards, George
