I was directed to this site to convey my condolences to the family and loved ones of mr Mcintosh. It has been said knowledge is power but the proper quote is knowledge applied is power. He applied his wealth of knowledge with great artistic writing skills. We shared a mutual friend William Headrick his collaborator and editor on many projects. Mr Mcintosh was founding member and executive board direcor emeritus of the fabled Coon Isle gun Club, cable address : sanctuary. The clubs motto fittingly is A state of mind. Mr Mcintosh and Mr Headrick no slaves to fashion have yet to succumb to either the internet or computers and as i was sharing messages left in condolence he nodded solemnly in agreement until i quoted a well wishers statement about their love for the 28 guage. Mr Headrick frowned and said gun writers love the 28 because the have one and you dont. The 20 guage will do everything the 28 will only better and at less expense the 28 is an effectation and a poseur. Mr Mcintosh having yielded the floor at the coot isle gun club Mr headrick was allowed the final word. Phil Davis Coot Isle Gun club scribe.

As a member in good standing of the Coot Isle Gun Club, and no fan of the 28 guage, I concur. Probably why Ansley never made one.
