Period correct pad for early SW

Post by vaturkey »

Am I correct, that only the Silver's pad would have been available to be installed on a 1910 Pin gun by Fox at the factory?

The Silvers pad is the only one listed in the 1911 and 1912 A.H. Fox Gun Co. "Campfire" catalogues. I've never had a chance on a 1910 The Sterlingworth Co. catalogue. They seem to be super scarce. I kind of doubt many folks were adding a $5 recoil pad to a $25 gun.

Here are the Sterlingworth pages from the 1911 "Campfire" catalogue --

Thanks much. Looks like that would be the only one that really fits the time period.
