Strike TWO!!!!

Post by Gretagrouse »

Well I just got back from Harrisburg where I took in a gun show. Came across a Sterlingworth that had different engraving on it and a bolt through the head. I told my cousin I remember reading or seeing something about this style of engraving. So after not buying it and driving home I rooted around and found it is what someone described as a lunch box special. So now I'm kicking myself in the ---- for not buying it!! Last year I found a very respectable pin gun and didn't bring it home!!! Maybe I should just quit looking for Foxes!! But if anyones interested I can put you in touch with a fella selling a Winchester 24 for$1275.00!!

It sounds like you're in PA or nearby. If so you might consider traveling to the Vintage Cup in MD late next month to look at Foxes F/S there. I doubt you'll come home with a strike out. Silvers

Hi Silvers,
Yep. I'm in western Pa. My cousins live in Harrisburg so I try and catch as many shows down there as I can. Lot more shows around there than up this way.

20 years ago the Expo Mart show was great. That was put on by the Pa. Gun Collectors club and it still is and has moved on down the Turnpike to Greensburg. It is now about 1/2 the size of the old shows. I quit going last year because it was the same old bunch of overpriced junkers that collectors were trying to dump on the unsuspecting. The few nice guns that I've seen had very optimistic prices. Used to see 20+ Fox guns, now it's 2 or 3.
Recoil is most noticed when I miss
