Hello To All,
I am new here, and I had better come clean right off the bat. Back in the days when I still had a full head of dark hair, I owned a 20 gauge Sterlingworth ejector gun. Boy, was she a sweety. Could actually hit a grouse with it now and then. I promised myself I would never part with her, but of course I did. Traded it for an O/U of rather dubious distinction of all stupid things. Jeez, the dumb stuff I did in a misspent youth. Anyway, the good news is that I have recently achieved what I hope to be a bit of redemption in the form of a 16 gauge Sterlingworth (#351227). It is in pretty good condition. I plan to have the barrels rust blued, and then have it custom stocked with a nice piece of figured walnut that I've been air drying for the last six years. It is enjoyable to partake in the knowledge of all things Fox on this board. Thanks for sharing.
Jay

Re: A Confession
Welcome also Jay. I enjoyed reading your post. Just so you know there's also a Members Forum here, that is hidden unless you're an annual or life member and sign in. Some of the more in-depth postings are in that forum. Fox guns may also be advertised Wanted or For Sale there. Silvers

Re: A Confession
Welcome Jay: I think that Frank and Researcher will probably admit that they too have parted with some choice smokepoles in the past that they now wish they hadn't. I know that I have. But now you're back in the game with THE FINEST GUN IN THE WORLD!
Best Regards, George
