Looks like it would be a fun project for someone who wanted the ultimate woodcock and grouse gun.

Would like an estimate on what it would take to turn this into a shooter. PS. Has anyone ever attempted to work on a gun this far gone?

Re: restoration challange
No money is saved by starting a Fox project with a high mileage gun. A friend learned the hard way that the simplest gun, even a Fox, shot to death, can still be a money pit. He found out that a few extra dollars spent on a low mileage base gun will be returned in money saved on mechanical updates.
