value of a pin gun

Post by thuddddddd »

Found a 12ga pin gun, 30" barrels, extractors. resonable condition, good dimentions(good enough) 7.8lbs SS# 60047.
Thinking it might make a good target gun. what do these things go for?

Thanks

From what I've seen and there are certainly those on this forum that know value's much much better then me, just like everything else on these guns, its all (or mostly) dependent on condition. I had a chance to buy one for $600 in what seemed like decent shape. However, closer inspection revealed it has some bigger pits in the bores, and the barrels didn't ring, and the stock has some issues, etc. I passed. I think take a SW and add a couple of 100 bucks if its a pin gun. Now, if its a pin gun with ejectors its worth a fair bit more as they are certainly harder to come by. PS. Surprised someone else hasn't jumped on this, but lots of times when folks ask about value, they already have the gun and are looking for buyers. Double PS. Check Guns America and see what they are going for there. However, what you will often find is folks are asking way more then what it is worth, or it would already be sold.

Private sale. Price checking to see if my buddy is taking advantage of me. Hate to cut him off from all the new grouse covers next season, if her were

the other path is turning my g-dads 12 AE into a target gun, but it has 28's and I prefer longer tubes.

Mr. thudd, if you're an AHFCA member you might try posting WTB 30/32 incher on the Members Forum. Good candidates for target guns have been posted there in the past.

shouldn't there be a riffraff filter, to keep the likes of you out?????   ...........

Whens your next gathering? the fox guys don't seem to like to shoot their guns, unlike your crew. Heck you've even got that one guy letting 11year olds shoot his 20k+ gun at skeet, and that kid had never shot a gun before.......

Tim,The next"official" one will be Addieville in May These Fox boys usually come out to clean our clocks as they did last year. But they needed a "ringer" to do it! I bet that day in NH is a day your nephew will long remember... :)
