I hunted pheasants with my son for a couple of hours. We saw about twenty birds that all flushed wild with no shots. The dogs got to go for a run and the Fox got out for a walk. I beleive I am up to ten outings without firing a shot. The bluing is wearing off but the barrels are pristene. Great excuse to get outside. We did go to South Dakota this year. There were lots of birds and eight of us filled out every day. Good for working the dogs. Happy Thanksgiving to all.

I hunted Thanksgiving, still no ducks migrating. Saturday calls for colder weather and 30mph winds, they have to come soon!! My son did shoot a nice buck on Sunday at my duck club and that always makes a Dad proud.
One more week of duck hunting then time to chase deer. Not the best bird season but thankful I can enjoy the outdoors as much today as ever.
