Yet another Fox gets the Game

Post by Silvers »

Spotted this fellow last week while hunting in Saskatchewan. The fox trotted down a trail and sat down about 100 yards way, started to eat a snowshoe rabbit he'd gotten nearby. Pic was taken at 40X. He spotted my movement right after I took this pic and booked it out of there. Fox are a little unusual in the bush there, the coyotes and wolves keep their numbers down. Check out the size of his brush (tail). A lot bushier than our eastern reds. I thought you gents would enjoy the pic. Silvers

Looks about like the fox on the bottom of my Foxes. I really thought the foxes on my Foxes were particularly unrealistic untill I saw that picture. I had noticed they resemble the foxes on German guns.

Thanks for posting that picture!

Thanks guys for the f/b. Yeah Mike that's what I thought when I looked at the pic. My bud in Sask explained their foxes have such large bushy tails to help fend off the severe winter cold up in the north country; they keep their muzzles and ears covered while sleeping at -40F or so. Silvers
