I still on my quest to find an A grade. I found one and the vendor says the right barrel measures .734 and the left is at .740 and .011 & .043 (IC and Full).
The wall thickness is .026 on the right barrel and .0225 on the left.
Is this anything to worry about, especially if I ever wanted to open up the Full choke to Mod ???

Re: A Grade barrel question
I wouldnt open it up, there are too many IC/M guns around to alter an original one. Barrel dimensions sound odd in the one you are looking, just my opinon, and could be wrong.

Re: A Grade barrel question
The left barrel and maybe the right have been cleaned up to remove pits, probably, and you should pay a price that reflects that deficiency. Open up an IC and FULL gun? You have to be kidding. Most pheasant or duck hunters would kill for a gun with those chokes.

Re: A Grade barrel question
I agree with eightbore on not messing with the choking. Improve cyclinder and full are really practical if you stop to think about it. You have adequate patterns for everything from quail to turkey in one package. If your hunting dictates a more open pattern in your left barrel you can adjust the pattern with the load that you shoot.
